Break the Grasp of Stress by Lindsay Roberts

Is this how you'd answer these questions : Are you pressured? Yes. Stressed? Extraordinarily. Frus-trated? On a constant basis. You can take charge of negative situations that attack you by using the Word of God. Here are eight steps to help break the grip of stress : Make the first move. If you need a couple of shoes, how does one get them?

You are making a moveyou go to a shoe store. It's the same when you are under stress. You can do nothing, or you are able to say, My God can help me. There's nothing too hard for God! ( Jeremiah 32:27 ). This way you start to take a step of faith to-ward your deliverance.

Turn your issues over to God. After taking that primary step, enter into fellowship with God.

Instead of dwelling on the issue, dwell on the problem Solver. God has the power to remove your stress, so take your heavy load and turn it over to Him as Psalm 55:22 NLT announces : Give your burdens to the Lord, and he is going to take care of you. That doesn't mean that you turn your burden over to God and then take it right back. You turn it over to God. Trust His wisdom, and leave it with Him.

Plug into God's power through prayer. Defeating stress needs more than wishful thinking. Your faith can't be in a news story, or the stock market, or in a medical report ; those are stress producers. Put your faith in God, who said, I'm the Lord, I don't change ( Malachi 3:6 NKJV ). The Holy Spirit is always interceding for you before the throne of God ( Romans 8:26-27 ).
